The Orphans Against AIDS mission is to break the cycle of HIV/AIDS by ensuring that all children orphaned and made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS receive a high-quality education.
Orphans Against AIDS (OAA) was founded in 2002 and is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
Orphans Against AIDS Partners with local community-based organizations around the world in two ways: - Orphans Against AIDS Provides funding for academic scholarships that cover the cost of school fees, school uniforms, school supplies, books, a desk and a chair (as needed), food, transportation to and from school (as needed), and basic health care such as vaccinations and a physician check-up.
- Orphans Against AIDS works with our partner organizations to build their capacity, helping with grant-writing , website content, and introductions to other donor organizations, including those who fund development projects that go beyond education.
Orphans Against AIDS is an all-volunteer organization. All donations made to Orphans Against AIDS go to the educational funding of the children we serve. Orphans Against AIDS is organized as a consensus-based partnership. The partners fund the organization's administrative and travel costs themselves, ensuring that every dollar donated by foundations, corporations, and individuals goes to the educational funding of children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS.
